WORCESTER-Carol H. (McKinstry) Glavin, 82, formerly of Airlie Street, passed away Tuesday, March 7 at UMASS Medical Center.
She leaves two children, Cynthia A. Cesaitis and her husband, Paul R. of Worcester and Robert A. Glavin of New York; a brother, Paul McKinstry and his wife, Linda of Louisiana; three grandchildren, Jennifer Cesaitis, Daniel Cesaitis and his wife, Courtney and Stephen Cesaitis and his wife, Kassee; seven great grandchildren, Gianna, Ariana, Jayda, Caiden, Caleb, Ryan and Julian. A grandson, David Siren, Jr. predeceased her in 2007. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Robert F. and Helen F. (Webster) McKinstry and graduated from Worcester Girls Trade School.
Carol was a pre-school teacher at Edward Street Daycare, before retiring. She was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. Carol also enjoyed trips to the botanical garden, going to the theatre and traveling. She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church and the Worcester Art Museum.
