Caroline M. (Cerrato) Longobardi, 70, of 36 N. Quinsigamond Avenue, died Wednesday, January 11 in UMASS Memorial Hospital. She leaves two sons, Salvatore Longobardi and his wife Linda of Holden and Nicholas Longobardi of Ft. Myers, FL.; two daughters, Anna Maria Rodwill of Auburn and Diane Turcotte and her husband Jeff of Spencer; two brothers, Joseph Cerrato of Queens, NY, and Julio Cerrato of Palm Coast, FL.; thirteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. A brother, Amedeo Cerrato, predeceased her.
She was born in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of Nicola and Grazia (DiFilippo) Cerrato. Mrs. Longobardi worked as a seamstress for many years and continued her education to become a certified nurse's assistant and worked at the Christopher House until retirement.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 14 at 10:00 AM in St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 35 School Street, Auburn. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Friday, January 13 from 2 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. in CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester.
