WORCESTER- Carolyn F. (Salmonson) Parda, 71, of 19 Cliff St., died Thurs., Sept. 13 in UMASS Memorial Hospital. She leaves her husband of 48 years, Boleslaw Parda; a son, Daniel W. Parda of St. Petersburg, FL; four daughters, Pamela J. Daniel of Auburn, Claudia Parda Bauman of Sterling, Louanne E. Smajkiewicz of Worc., and Sarahbeth Persiani of Millbury. She also leaves her six grandchildren whom she adored, Nathan, Jared and Eric Daniel, Sage and Aili Bauman and Chloe Persiani. A brother, Ronald Salmonson predeceased her.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of W. Arthur and Flora C. (Perras) Salmonson. Carolyn was a Licensed Practical Nurse for 35 years at several area hospitals and nursing homes. She especially enjoyed caring for her elderly patients. She was a longtime and active member of Emanuel Lutheran Church where she sang with the choir and served on the church council. She was once a swimming instructor and lifeguard, active in the Girl Scouts and also played the organ at the St. Anthony's Church. Some of Carolyn's passions are music, beachgoing, reading, bird watching, traveling and oil painting.

The funeral service will be held on Mon, Sept. 17th at 10:00 AM in Emanuel Lutheran Church, 200 Greenwood St. Burial will follow in All Faith's Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sun., Sept. 16th from 4:00-6:00 PM in LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler St. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Carolyn's memory to Emanuel Lutheran Church 200 Greenwood St., Worc., MA 01607.
