Aug 10, 1947 — Oct 10, 2026
Auburn
WEST BOYLSTON-Carrol (Allen) Warren, 79, passed away on Saturday, October 10th, 2026 at St. Vincent Hospital. Her beloved husband, Peter Warren, passed away in 1999.
Born on August 10, 1947, in Ware, Massachusetts, Carrol was the daughter of Phyllis E. (Jablonsky) and Carl A. Allen. After graduating from Commerce High School, Carrol spent her life making memories in the many places she called home, including Worcester, West Boylston, Barre, Falmouth and New York City. She always enjoyed revisiting the different towns where she had lived, carrying with her a lifetime of memories and connections.
Carrol was a hardworking, creative, and outgoing woman who wore many hats, literally and figuratively, throughout her life. She worked in a variety of roles, including caring for the elderly, homemaking, and entrepreneurship. She was perhaps best known for her work as a restaurant owner, operating Karole’s Kitchen in Worcester and the Country Side Cafe in Sterling. She also owned several craft shops, sharing her creativity and love of making things with others.
A talented crafter, Carrol especially enjoyed crocheting and made countless blankets over the years. She also loved flower gardening and took great pride in her personal style. A collector of hats, she had one for nearly every outfit and always made sure she looked stylish and put together. Carrol had a vibrant personality and never hesitated to strike up a conversation or brighten a room with her outgoing nature.
Above all else, Carrol's greatest love was her family. Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her, and they were the most important part of her life.
She leaves behind many that will miss her deeply including her six children, David, Robert, Elizabeth, John, Olivia and Jeffrey; her grandchildren, Chelsea, Joshua, Seth, Logan, B-Dubs, and Ananda. She also leaves siblings, Phillip and Nadia, as well as many nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her husband; her parents; a grandson, John Eric; two sisters, Monica and Becky.
Carrol will be remembered for her strong work ethic, creative spirit, distinctive style, outgoing personality, and, most of all, the love she had for her family. Her life was filled with hard work, new adventures, and a personality that was unmistakably her own. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Services will be held privately.
