Cecelia M. Kane

SANDWICH-Cecelia M. (Bubon) Kane, 78, of 1 Meredith Rd., formerly of Worcester, died Sunday, March 14, at home.

She leaves her husband of 54 years, Joseph B. Kane, a son, James M. Kane of Marston Mills, three brothers, John Bubon of Charlton, Raymond Bubon of Auburn and Frank Bubon of Leicester; two sisters, Josephine Pickett of Worcester and Alice Michniewicz of Murrietta, CA; five grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, several nephews and nieces. A brother Peter Bubon and a sister Mary Vostok predeceased her. She was born in Palmer, daughter of Albert and Bertha (Kos) Bubon. Mrs. Kane was a nurse at St. Vincent Hospital for many years before retiring. She graduated from Commerce High School and St. Vincent School of Nursing.

The funeral will be held Thursday, March 18, from Lindquist Lundin Funeral Home, 36 Butler St., Worcester, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Catherine of Sweden Church 1 Wiser Ave., Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Wednesday, March 17, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
