Princeton-Charles Brooks Stimson, 85, of Princeton, MA passed away on July 26, 2021 at his home. Charlie survived his first wife, Judith Grover and mother of their four boys, and his second wife Joan Reynolds. He also survived his twin sons, Christopher and Craig, his granddaughter, Lizzie, and his sister Elaine from Scarborough, Maine. He leaves his son Stephen and wife Lauren of Princeton, his son David and wife Michele of Swanzea, MA and daughter in law Kelly of Oakham, Ma. He also leaves many many grandchildren and extended family.
Charlie attended Holden High School and graduated in the class of "53"and earned a Bachelor's degree in Animal Husbandry from the University of Massachusetts in "58". He returned as the ninth generation to operate the family dairy farm on Thompson Road with his father Brooks and grandfather Charles.
Fresh out of college, Charlie convinced his father to mechanize the farm, adding tractors and electric milking machines and more cows. He operated the farm with the help of his four sons, eventually retiring in 2007. He also drove a school bus route from "65-77' in Princeton between milking and farm activities.
Charlie was an avid sports fan, taught the boys how to play baseball in one of the cow fields where they continued a tradition of family and neighborhood ball games for many years. He will always be remembered for his large smile and gentle, quiet manner.
