Chasity and Zella Nunez

d. March 5, 2024

Worcester

WORCESTER-Chasity Maria Nunez, 27, with her eleven-year-old daughter Zella Aria Nunez both passed away tragically on Tuesday, March 5.

Chasity leaves behind her daughter, her mother, her deceased father. Her brothers, her nieces, her grandparents, her uncles, aunts, and cousins; She was born in Worcester and graduated from South High School, Worcester State University and received her master’s degree from University of Maryland Global Campus, as well as in the process of studying for her second master’s degree.  She was a Specialist E4 in the Connecticut National Guard. Chasity also worked as a Patient Safety and Clinical Quality Coordinator at MIT University.

Zella leaves behind her uncles and aunts as well as her maternal-grandparents and her paternal-grandparents. Zella attended sixth grade at Columbus Park School.

Chasity was a force to be reckoned with; incredibly dependable. There wasn't anything she couldn't do, and if it couldn't be done immediately, you better believe she would strategize to make sure it got done. She brightened up every room she walked into, evident in the outpouring of love she has received. Her daughters were the center of her world, and everything she did to elevate her life was for them.   She was deeply family-oriented, despite being the baby sister to older brothers, she ran the ship to make sure everyone was always well cared for. She was also a beloved daughter to an amazing mother who always spoke highly of her accomplishments. As a best friend, Chasity was incomparable; all the perfect words in the world would not be able to encapsulate the honor of knowing her.

Zella was an optimistic and creative soul, much like her mother, she wanted to dabble in everything from painting, singing, dancing to skating. She was kindhearted, a joy to be around and loved to teach us her latest TikTok dances. Her benevolent nature won hearts easily. She was a brilliant child set up for success because of all the love and encouragement behind her. To everyone, she was nothing less than a princess.

To know Chasity was to know true unwavering kindness, loyalty and friendship that felt like family. To know Zella was to know innocence and pure joy like no other.
