Christine Buckley

Christine (Nedoroscik) Buckley, 57, of Worcester, passed into Eternal Life on Dec. 31, 2008. Christine was surrounded by her loving family when her very courageous battle with Cancer ended.
Christine is survived by her husband of 28 years, Brent Buckley, a daughter Stephanie and her husband William Madeline of New Jersey, and a son, Christopher Buckley of Worcester. Christine is also survived by her loving father, Stephen J. Nedoroscik of Millbury, a brother, John Nedoroscik and his wife Cheryl of Worcester, three sisters, Jane and her husband Gerald Gervais of Worcester, Stephanie and her husband Michael Szafarowicz of Woodstock, CT, and Catherine and her husband John Iwanow of Oxford. "Auntie Chrissie" will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews, Stephen, Kathryn, David, Robert, James, Samantha, Anastasia and Stephen along with her eight great nieces and nephews.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Jane (Chojnacka) Nedoroscik and graduated from St. Mary's School in Worcester in 1969. After graduating, she worked for the Wyman Gordon Co. for 12 years. Christine decided to leave the workforce for a more fulfilling career as a loving wife and mother in 1980. In 1990 she returned to work and was most recently employed at EMC Corp. in Hopkinton.
Christine had many passions ranging from the Beatles to the San Francisco 49ers to a weekend at Foxwoods or a quiet walk on the beach with Brent. She was an inspiration to everyone she touched. Christine was free-spirited and had an irresistible smile. Her blue eyes and laughter will linger long after she is gone by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Christine's life will be held Sat., Jan. 3, from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Christopher's Church, 950 West Boylston St. The committal will follow in Notre Dame Mausoleum. Visiting Hours will be held Fri., Jan.2 , from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Christine's name, to the Levine Cancer Center, 33 Kendall St., Worcester, 01605.
