Christine R. (Bruso) Kosakowski, 53, of 10 Otter Trail, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, in UMass Memorial Medical Center- University Campus, after a long battle with cancer.
She leaves her husband of 30 years Vincent J. Kosakowski Jr. She leaves a son, Vincent R. Kosakowski, a daughter, Kimberly D. Kosakowski both of Worcester, a brother, Rev. Robert D. Bruso, Pastor of St. Anthony's Church in Fitchburg, formerly Associate Pastor of St. Mary's Church in Uxbridge. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Robert W. Bruso and Dorothy J. (Driscoll) Bruso. She graduated from South High School in 1967 and the former Ward School Of Business.
Mrs. Kosakowski was a manager in the bakery department at Shaw's Supermarket for 23 years until the time of her illness.
She was a member of St. George's Parish, where she taught religious education for many years.
The funeral will be held Saturday, Jan. 18, from Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 9 Hammond Street (www.faybrothers.com) with a mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. George's Church, 38 Brattle Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling Hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, in the funeral home. The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorial donations be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in care of The Sarcoma Unit 44 Binney Street, Boston, MA 02115
