Claire B. (Mitson) Burns, 78, of Auburn and earlier of Potomac, MD went to the Lord on Sunday 7 November.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Donal J. Burns; five sons, Kevin, Terence, Emmet, Liam and Padraig; three daughters, Moira Kathleen, Moira Deirdre and Moira Eileen; two brothers, Richard and Paul Mitson; two sisters, Jean Shirhall and Martha LaBrosse and 16 grandchildren. She was born in Providence, RI daughter of Peter and Alice (McGowan) Mitson.

The Funeral will be held Friday, 12 November from Callahan and Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus-St. Catherine's Church, 600 Cambridge St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Mount St. Mary's Cemetery, Pawtucket, RI. Visiting Hours are Thursday, 11 November from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
