WORCESTER-Claire C. (Condon) Wall, 93, of the Willows Community passed away at home on Wednesday, September 4.
Her husband, Richard Manning Wall, Esq. passed away in 2010. She leaves her sisters-in-law, Jean A. Condon and Maureen Bruso both of Worcester; a nephew, Thomas C. Condon, Jr. and his wife, Diane of Mansfield; a niece, Mary C. Robinson and her husband, John; and a grand-niece, Lily Robinson all of Bolton. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Thomas C. and Gertrude A. (Reardon) Condon and attended Sacred Heart School; South High School and Becker College.
Claire lived in Washington D.C. for several years, while her husband served as Trial Attorney in the US Department of Justice and later as he worked on the presidential election campaign of John F. Kennedy and as a Special Assistant to Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy. Claire and Richard moved back to Worcester in 1963, where she worked alongside her husband in the law firm of Griffin and Wall for 22 years. Claire enjoyed golfing, bowling and the arts. She especially liked spending time on Cape Cod and being among her family and friends. She was also very active in volunteering in Worcester area charities. She was a former member of the Worcester Club and the Tatnuck Country Club.
A Visiting Hour will be held September 9 from 8:30 to 9:30am at Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Richard's of Chichester Church, 4 Bridge St., Sterling. Burial will be in Saint John's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org
