Clara L. Magnuson

Worcester-Clara L. (DiMarzio) Magnuson, of Worcester, died Saturday, February 10, 2007 after an illness. She was 88.

Her husband, Francis E. Magnuson died in 2001. She leaves a daughter, Ann Marie Brouillette of Worcester; a grand-daughter, Christine Lee Mitchell of Worcester; a sister, Lena Cornacchioli of North Grafton. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Giuseppe and Congetta (Stansiland) DiMarzio. Her first husband, Benjamin J. Mitchell died in 1970 and a son, Robert J. Mitchell died in 1988. Her siblings, Anna Dube, Michael, Anthony and Edward DiMarzio all died before her.

Clara worked as a waitress and in the laundry department at Worcester City Hospital for many years, before retiring. She was a member of Saint John's Church. She enjoyed bowling, dancing and entertaining.

The Funeral will be held Tuesday, Feb. 13 from The CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street, with a Mass at 1:00PM in Saint John's Church, 40 Temple Street.
