WORCESTER-Concetta C. (Salvatore) Macris, 83, of Worcester, died Monday, March 12 in St. Vincent Hospital.
Her husband James Macris who was a Professor of English at Clark University died in 1985. She leaves two sons, James Macris, Jr. of Worcester and Michael Macris and his wife Diane of Guilford, CT, three granddaughters, Margaret Kiss and her husband Douglas, Catherine Macris and Laura Macris. She was born in Brooklyn, NY daughter of Michael and Michelina (Sarro) Salvatore and lived there until moving to Worcester in 1968. She attended Hunter College in New York. She was a member of the Lydia-Durcas Circle, Trinity Lutheran Church and the Women's Republican Party.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 15 at 11:00 AM in CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St.. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. A visiting hour will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM the day of the funeral. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 73 Lancaster St., Worcester, MA 01609.
