Deaconess Mrs. Constance Amoako-Atta, lovingly known as Afua Asamoah, a devoted wife, mother, church leader, and friend, peacefully entered into the presence of the Lord on Sunday, January 18, 2026.
She was born on September 11, 1966, in Ajumako Besease, Ghana, to the late Mr. Emmanuel Kwadwo Adom Yeboah and Mrs. Salomey Abena Darkoaa Adom Yeboah. From a young age, Constance was known for her grace, discipline, and strong Christian foundation, earning her the affectionate nickname “Awuraa Afua.”
She pursued her education in Ghana, attending Kumasi Girls Secondary School and later Accra Polytechnic, where she studied Business Management. She began her professional career at Ghana Commercial Bank before relocating to Worcester, Massachusetts, in 1991.
In 1987, she married her beloved husband, Elder Michael Amoako-Atta, and together they built a Christ-centered home, raising four children: Gideon, Yaa-Serwaa, Cassandra, and Enoch. In Worcester, she became a founding member of the Church of Pentecost, Worcester Central Assembly, where she faithfully served in many roles and was ordained as a Deaconess in 2015.
Professionally, she worked at UMass Memorial Medical Center as a phlebotomist and Service Representative, where she was admired for her compassion, dedication, and warm spirit.
Deaconess Constance lived a life of unwavering faith, humility, and service. She was a loving mother, a pillar in her church, and a source of strength and kindness to all who knew her. Her gentle nature, wisdom, and radiant smile touched countless lives.
She is survived by her loving husband, Elder Michael Amoako-Atta; her four children; and a large extended family who will cherish her memory always.
