Constance L. Capstick

Constance L. (Collins) Capstick, 96, beloved matriarch and devoted community member, passed away on April 4, 2025, at the Rose Monahan Hospice House, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 42 years, Paul E. Capstick, who passed away in 1994.

She was born on December 13, 1928, in Dracut, MA daughter of the late Catherine (Needham) and Frederick Collins. After graduating from St. Peter's High School, "Connie" was employed by N.E. Telephone as an operator for 10 years. After this time, she made the heartfelt decision to stay home and raise her family. She later worked at Casino Jewelry, both in Worcester and Hampton.

Connie was an active member of St. Andrew's Church and volunteered at St. Peter's Food Pantry, demonstrating her dedication to helping others and giving back to her community. Connie enjoyed her summers at Hampton Beach and spending time with her family and friends. Above all, she cherished the time she had with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Connie leaves many behind that will miss her deeply including her sons, Paul R. Capstick and his partner, Carolyn Lindstrom, Edward J. and his wife, Ellen, John M. and his partner, Pamela Ford; her daughter, Ann Marie Dilawar and her husband, Khan; nine grandchildren: Melissa Sleeper, Whitney, Paul E., Eddie, and Emily Capstick, Mikayla Ciesluk, Kylie, Brad, and Paul Ross; eight great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, daughter, Sara Ross (2018), and her brothers: Charles, John, and Raymond Collins.

Her legacy of love and compassion for family, friends, and the community will continue to resonate through the lives she touched.

Family and friends are welcomed to a celebration of Connie’s life with visiting hours from 8:00am until 10:00am Thursday, April 10 at Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worc. Followed by a funeral Mass beginning at 10:30am in St Andrew’s Church, 5 Spaulding St. Burial will immediately follow in Worcester County Park Cemetery, Paxton.
