Cynthia H. (Chaput) Mulcahy, 63, of Worcester died Monday, December 12, 2022 in San Francisco, CA after being stricken ill while visiting her son.
She leaves her beloved son Jason M. Chaput and his husband Mark Hogains of San Francisco, CA, two sisters; Sandra C. Dick and Darlene M. Chaput both of Worcester, a brother Joseph W. Chaput and his wife Diane and several nieces and nephews.
Cynthia was born in Worcester, daughter of Romeo J. and Veronica E. (Chrabascz) Chaput. She was a sales representative for many years at a local recycling center. She enjoyed gardening and loved animals especially her two beloved dogs Manny and Trot. She raised cows, chickens and pigs for many years on her family farm in Maine before moving back to Worcester. She was an avid Boston Red Sox and Celtics fan. Cynthia's greatest joy in her life was her son Jason whom she couldn't be more proud of.
Cynthia's funeral will be held on Friday, January 6 at 11:00 AM in Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. A visiting hour will precede the service from 10:00-11:00 AM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden Street, Worcester, MA 01606.
