WORCESTER-Daisy (Lugo) Santiago, 55, passed away Tuesday, June 16 at Rose Monahan Hospice Home after a three and a half year battle with Multiple Myeloma.
Daisy leaves her husband Juan Santiago; two daughters, Daisy Hatheway and her husband Russell and Michelle Santiago and her fianc%C3%A9 Christopher Anderson; her mother, Virgen Alicea, all of Worcester; two step children, Juan Santiago, Jr. and his wife Priscilla of OH and Elizabeth Santiago of Webster; five grandchildren, Iesha, Earl, Jasade, Jovani and Jiselle; six step-grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She also leaves seven siblings, Ruben Jr., Rafael, Raul, Miriam and Jose Lugo, Evelyn Lassu and John Gardner; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Ruben Lugo.
She was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Daisy was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother,and friend. Her family was everything to her. She was very active and loved to dance, cook and play softball. Daisy had a great sense of humor and was known as being a jokester.
Daisy's funeral services will be held on Monday, June 22 with visiting hours from 9:00 am-12:30 pm at CALLAHAN FAY CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street immediately followed by the funeral service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery.
