Worcester – Damien Owusu-Mensah, 11, sadly left us far too soon and entered Paradise on Wednesday October 16, 2019.
Damien was born in Worcester, MA on July 24, 2008, son of Paul and Ernestina (Ayesu) Owusu-Mensah; besides his parents, he also leaves to mourn his brother Eli Owusu-Mensah, three sisters: Petrina, Constantine, and Charmaine Owusu-Mensah; he also leaves a multitude of relatives and friends.
Damien will fondly be remembered as a fun-loving, joyful, thoughtful, intelligent young man who also possessed an interesting sense of humor, whether he be overriding the Admin password at Seven Hills School or playing practical jokes on his beloved brother and sisters, Damien would always find a way to amuse himself and others. Although he loved his mother, his brother, his sisters, his entire family and his friends, Damien had a special bond with his beloved father. Damien would often be referred to as his father's "chain"; there were many occasions when Damien would awaken in the middle of the night just to find his dad, hug him, and fall asleep in his father's arms. For several years now Damien has shown a keen interest in computers, robotics and all sorts of mechanisms; he would often break his toys, just to repair them a short time later. Damien aspired to become not only a policeman, but a fireman as well. Although Damien was not particularly fond of reading, he especially enjoyed being read to, specifically he was interested in being read verses from the Holy Bible. Damien, the Sunday before his untimely passing, remarked to his father after attending Mass "In everything give thanks to God".
