AUBURN-Daniel J. Gubber, 59, of Auburn passed away Tuesday, March 19 in Saint Vincent Hospital.
Dan was a Senior Professional System Architect at DXC Technology and has worked in the technology industry for close to 40 years. A Worcester native and graduate of Doherty Memorial High School, Dan proudly served in the Massachusetts Air National Guard for 8 years. Dan loved spending time in his backyard, working on different projects including stonework and waterfalls.
His greatest joy in life was his son, Nathaniel, and watching him grow. He will be sadly missed by his wife Jane (Montecino Balolong) Gubber; his son and best friend Nathaniel Dean Gubber; his mother, Edith M. (Williams) Gubber of Auburn; a brother, David P. Gubber and his wife, Donna of Pennsylvania; three sisters, Dianna M. Markley and her husband, Dr. Herbert of Princeton, Denise A. Prue of Worcester and Doreen E. Gubber of Millbury; eight nieces and nephews and ten great-nieces and nephews. His father Dr. Richard E. Gubber and a brother, Dean F. Gubber predeceased him.
Visiting Hours to Celebrate Daniel's Life will be held Sunday, March 24, from 4 to 6pm at Callahan Fay Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 25 at 11am in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant St. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St., Worcester, 01606.
