HOLDEN-Daniel J. Harrington died on June 6 surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of Daniel J. Harrington Jr. and Ann J. (Oliver) of Holden.

Danny was born in Holden in 1950 and resided there most of his life. He retired as president of Sunnyside Motor Company after leading the family business into its 101st year.

His early education was in the Holden Public Schools followed by graduation from St. John’s High School and Worcester Junior College. He served six years in the Army National Guard. Dan spent many years as a director of the Better Business Bureau of Central and Western Massachusetts.

He leaves his wife Cathy (Fay), his mother Ann Harrington, sisters Susan DiNoia (Len) and Mary Ann McGrain (Ben), his children Amy Harrington, Jill Harrington, Deirdre Donahue (Adam) and John Donahue (Chelsea) and his beloved grandchildren Devon Henderson, Thomas Donahue-Blechman and Brooks, Rachael and Benjamin Donahue. He also leaves a niece, Nicole Garvey and nephews Todd McGrain and Andrew DiNoia.

Visiting Hours will be held Tuesday, June 9 from 5 to 7pm at Callahan Fay Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester A Funeral Mass will will be Wednesday at 10am in  St. George’s Church, 40 Brattle Street, Worcester. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Abby’s House 53 High St. Worcester, MA 01609, abbyshouse.org.

He laughed often, lived well and loved much.
