WORCESTER-Daniel F. Rawlston, Sr., 73, passed away on Wednesday, August 24th at St. Vincent Hospital. He leaves his wife of 54 years, Carol J. (Garceau) Rawlston; three children, Daniel F. Rawlston, Jr. of Lakeland, FL, Debbie A. Williams and her husband Craig of Worcester and Diane M. Shumate and her husband Robert of Lakeland, FL; his four grandchildren, Sean, Krystle, Michael and Alycia; his great granddaughter, Liliani; his sister, Judith Liseno of Webster and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four brothers, William, Chester, Timothy and Richard Rawlston.
Daniel was born in Worcester a son of Chester and Margaret (Shea) Rawlston. Daniel was a Vietnam War veteran serving with the United States Air Force. He worked as a designer and engineer for Wright Line for many years. He and his wife moved to Florida for 26 years and he then worked at constructing model homes before retiring. They moved back to Worcester to live with their daughter Debbie. Daniel enjoyed playing the guitar and singing.
A Celebration of Life will take place Tuesday, August 30 at 4pm at the Tatnuck American Legion Post, 570 Mill Street. Burial will be private. Arrangements are in the care of CALLAHAN FAY & CASWELL FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. Memorial donations in Daniel's name may be made to the American Heart Assoc., 300 5th Ave., Suite 6, Waltham, 02451.
