David P. Simonelli

WORCESTER-David Paul Simonelli, 55, of Worcester passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 8 with his loving family by his side after a year long battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine (Manzi) Simonelli; his parents, Alberto and Elizabeth (Burns) Simonelli of Worcester; a sister, Linda Carr and her husband Scott of Sutton; two brothers, Michael Simonelli of Worcester and Jeffrey Simonelli of Holden; a niece and two nephews. He is predeceased by his, brother, Stephen Simonelli. David also leaves two step-daughters; Lisa Manzi of Worcester and Andrea Manzi of Worcester and four grandchildren, Anthony, Sydney, Derek and Mason.

He was born in Worcester and graduated from Worcester Boy's Trade High School, class of 78' and worked for many years as a printer. He most recently worked for the City of Worcester.

David was known for his generous spirit and always saw the best in people. He had many hobbies that included cooking, gardening and collecting various items. He was a lifelong Red Sox fan.

The Funeral will be held Tuesday, October 13 from CALLAHAN~FAY~CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street with a Mass at 10am in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Monday, October 12 from 4 to 7pm at the funeral home.
