WORCESTER-Denise M. (Prue) McTigue, 80, passed away Monday, November 4 in UMASS Medical Center.
She leaves her husband of 59 years, Frank J. McTigue; two children, Steven McTigue of Worcester; Sherry Campana and her husband, Glenn of Barre; two sisters, Theresa Dell’Aquila of Auburn and Janet Troio and her husband, Kevin of Tennessee and many nieces and nephews. Four siblings, Jean Carrigan, David Prue, Norman Prue and Gail Prue predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Homer D. and Irene T. (Arsenault) Prue and graduated from St. Peter’s High School.
Denise was the long time manager of Damons restaraunt at the Worcester Center Galleria. From there, she worked as a saleswoman at Filenes, for many years before retiring. Her and Frank loved going to the casino, traveling and going to the beach, especially their favorite place, Aruba. She also enjoyed playing cards and reading a good book. Most of all Denise enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Visiting Hours Friday, November 8 from 4 to 7pm at Callahan Fay Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 9 at 10am in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main St. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of the Angels Church or for the Shrine of St. Anthony at the Cathedral of St. Paul, 15 Chatham St., Worcester, 01609.
