Dmytro was born in Zhalyanka, Ukraine on March 5, 1938. At the age of 8, Dmytro and his family were exiled to Siberia. His mother snuck him back into Ukraine where they lived in hiding. Years later, he met his wife, Mariya, got married, built a home, and raised a family together. On March 9, 2022, strained by the uncertainty of the war, Dmytro and Mariya fled Ukraine to come to the United States. On April 5, 2022, Dmytro passed peacefully surrounded by family.
Dmytro is survived by his wife, Mariya Lyubchyk; his son, Vlad Lyubchik and his wife Tanya Lyubchik; his daughter, Nila Lyubchik and husband Cesar Herrera; six grandchildren, Roman Hradysky and his wife Cassi Hradysky, Oksana Hradyska and her husband Nigel Kheng, Daniel Lyubchik, Matthew Lyubchik, Andrew Lyubchik, and Mary Lyubchik; three great-grandchildren, Savannah Hradysky, Hayden Kheng, and Oliver Kheng. And many other loved friends and family.
Funeral Services are Friday, April 8th at Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street, with a visiting hour from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM immediately followed by a Service. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery.
