Dolores M. Cleary

WEST BOYLSTON
Dolores M. "Dewey" (Deslauriers) Cleary, 92, of West Boylston passed away peacefully with her loving children by her side on Wednesday, May 5 in the Beaumont Nursing Center, Northbridge.
Her husband of 62 years, Gordon D. Cleary, Sr. died in 2003. She leaves two children, Denise M. Norberg of Auburn and Gordon D. Cleary, Jr. of West Boylston; nine grandchildren; twenty two great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; a sister, Theresa Nims of Auburn and many nieces and nephews. Five siblings, Jean Paul Deslauriers, Rita Majeau, Madeline Nienjadley, Lorraine Nault and Jeanette O'Donnell predeceased her. She was born in Contrecoeur, Quebec, Canada daughter of Emile and Rosilda (Berthiaume) Deslauriers. Her family moved to Massachusetts when Dolores was a young girl.

Dolores attended Holy Name High School and Brom's Academy of Hairdressing. She owned and operated the former Central Beauty Shoppe in West Boylston for many years.

Dolores was a daily communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church and a member of the Women's Club and Choir.

She enjoyed baking, sewing, quilting, refinishing furniture and a good yard sale. She also enjoyed spending time at Cape Cod with her family, who she loved unconditionally.

Dolores' children wish to thank the Beaumont Nursing Staff and the Salmon Hospice Staff for the dedicated and compassionate care they provided to their mother.
Dolores' funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 11, from Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston St. with a Mass at 10 AM in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday, May 10, from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
