Dolores (Bianchi) Joyce, passed from this life on March 29, 2022.
She grew up on Grafton Street in Worcester and graduated from North High School. After graduating from Boston University, she joined her sisters, Evelyn and Norma, in New York. Dolores first worked for American Airlines, then as a travel agent, and finally as the person who made all of the travel arrangements for the executives at Foot Cone & Belding, a large advertising agency in Manhattan.
Dolores had many interests. She loved the theatre, movies, and reading. She enjoyed going shopping, eating out and visiting museums. But her favorite activity was traveling. In her younger years, she and Evelyn were globe trotters. After Evelyn passed, Dolores took at least one weekend or day trip per week with a local tour group.
Dolores and her family were the first residents of their apartment building in Forest Hills where she lived for seventy years. In 2020, Dolores moved to the Terraces in Orleans, MA.
Dolores was predeceased by her parents, John Bianchi and Sarah (Josti) Bianchi; her sisters, Evelyn Bianchi and Norma Bianchi (stage name White).
Dolores leaves behind her cousins, John Bianchi of Worcester, Ann Marie Norton McKenna of South Yarmouth, Michelle and Peter Zimmerman of Leicester and Christine and David Lok of Wayland.
The family wishes to extend their most sincere appreciation to both the staff of The Terraces and Broad Reach Hospice for their loving care of Dolores.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life with a funeral Mass at 11:00am on Monday, April 4th at St. Stephen's Church, 357 Grafton St., Worcester. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester.
