Domenic R. Lopardo

March 2, 1953 — July 30, 2022

Key Largo, FLA

Domenic R. Lopardo,69, died Saturday July 30th at his home. He was born in Worcester Massachusetts, the son of the late Domenic C. Lopardo and Elizabeth C. (Monopoli) Lopardo.

He is survived by his partner of many years, Linda Provenzano, his sister Carol and her husband Steven Blake, his niece Jodie Blake-Howard and her son Benjamin, and his great nephew David Blake and his wife Caroline Blake and son Tyler respectively. He also leaves an aunt and several cousins. He was predeceased by his nephew David Blake and great niece Abigail Howard.

Domenic graduated from West Boylston Junior Senior High School.  After graduation he went on to work for Hall Brothers Moving Company in Worcester prior to moving to the Florida Keys over 45 years ago.  His love for and skilled hand with cooking qualified him for his first places of employment on Duck Key at Pub Disco and The Ships Inn. He then went on to become an accomplished and respected landscaper owning his own business that was initially called Domunique's and later became D.R.L. Landscaping, Incorporated. Many homes and businesses from Duck Key to Marathon were made more beautiful as a result of his expertise.

Domenic loved gardening during his down time and took what was once a jungle-like yard and turned it into a sanctuary with a vegetable garden, fruit trees, and exotic flowers.  Many friends and family members enjoyed his culinary skills long after his Pub Disco days as he loved entertaining and preparing delicious meals for others. Fishing was another way Domenic enjoyed passing the time whether he was out on a fishing charter or fishing off of the neighbor's dock in the Gulf of Mexico. Domenic also loved his animals, his most recent best friend and constant companion, Wolfie, a white-haired German Shepard will miss him dearly.

Domenic will be fondly remembered for his kind and giving nature, as a man with a "big heart". He will be greatly missed by those that had the pleasure of knowing him.

A private burial took place in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, West Boylston, MA
