West Boylston- Donald Barclay, 73, of West Boylston and formerly of Shrewsbury and Hancock, NY, passed away peacefully at Rose Monahan Hospice House in Worcester, surrounded by his loving family.
Donald was born in Vancouver, British Columbia on June 4, 1945 a son to the late James and Elizabeth (McPhail) Barclay. Following high school, Donald proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his return from the military, he worked as a salesman for Economy Paint Company for many years.
Donald was a die-hard fan of the Baltimore Orioles and had a love of old television shows, especially cowboy movies and movies starring John Wayne.
His memory will live on in his sister, Elizabeth Rheaume and her husband, Gregory, with whom he lived in West Bolyston; A lifelong family friend, Judith Terwilliger of Oneonta; a niece, Denise McCann of Pittsburgh, PA; a nephew, Toby Rheaume of Spencer, MA; Renee Rheaume-Delorge and husband Jeffrey of Oxford; a nephew, William Rheaume and fiancé Justine Peterson of Shrewsbury; a niece Georgeanna Rheaume and fiancé, Willian Cusella of Grafton; Great Nephews, Daniel, Michael and Patrick McCann of Mars, PA, Antony Rheaume-Delorge of Oxford, and Nico Rheaume of West Boylston; Great nieces, Sophia and Amelia Rheaume-Cusella of Grafton.
A graveside service to honor his life will be held privately at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne.
