With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Don Langhill, who died on Monday, March 16, 2026, at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home after an illness.

Born on September 7, 1942, in Worcester, Massachusetts, Don was the son of the late Matthew and Dorothy (Paine) Langhill. He attended Andover Street Elementary, Burncoat Junior High, North High School, and later continued his education at WPI’s School of Industrial Management.

In his youth, Don was a proud member of the Greendale Royalaires Drum and Bugle Corps, where he served as a drum major and bugle player. He later enlisted in the United States Navy and served from 1960–1962 aboard the USS Decatur (DD‑936).

Don retired as a Supervisor of Quality Control in the Materials Division of the Norton Company after 39 years of dedicated service. He also served as Assistant Finance Officer of the American Legion Post 204 in West Boylston, where he was known for his love of horseshoes and cribbage.

One of the great joys of Don’s retirement was playing golf with family and friends. He was an active member of Bedrock Golf Club and cherished the many golf trips he took over the years. Don and Marsha also loved to travel together, visiting York Beach, Popham Beach, Cape Cod, Florida, St. Lucia, Antigua, Mexico, and Costa Rica.

Above all, Don treasured time spent with his family. He was a devoted supporter of his grandchildren and could always be found cheering them on at their sporting events. He was also a loyal fan of the New England Patriots.

Don is survived by his devoted wife, Marsha, and by his four sons: David Langhill and his wife Heidi, Kevin Langhill and his wife Linda, John Langhill and his wife Allison, and Timmy Langhill and his wife Jen. He is also lovingly remembered by his stepchildren: Pamela Rawlston, Karen Visci and her husband Dominic, and Ken DeFeudis and his wife Amy. He is survived by his two brothers, Richard Langhill and Steve Langhill.

Don was a proud “Grampy” to many grandchildren who brought him endless joy: Danny and Brandon Langhill, Kelsie Bosse, Jenna Langhill, McKayla Williams, Justin, Bryan, and Julia Langhill, Andrew and Elizabeth Langhill, Amanda Rawlston, Nicholas Visci, and Caroline, Kevin, and Chloe DeFeudis. He was an extra‑proud great‑grandfather to Emma and LJ Bosse, and he eagerly awaited the arrival of his newest great‑granddaughter, Amelia Rose.

Don is also remembered through the important relationships that shaped his life. He is survived by his first wife, JoAnn McGarry, mother of his four sons, with whom he shared many years of family and partnership. Don was predeceased by his second wife, Beverly Sheldon, with whom he shared a meaningful chapter of his life before her passing.

He was also predeceased by his beloved nephew, Scott Langhill, and his grand‑nephew, Derek Scott Arnold, both of whom held special places in his heart.

As we say goodbye, it feels fitting to honor both Don’s faith and the spirit with which he lived his life. He embraced each day with courage, gratitude, and a quiet confidence in what lay ahead. A good reflection that fits his life would be::

“God is in every tomorrow; therefore, I live for today, certain of finding at sunrise guidance and strength for the way; power for each moment of weakness; hope for each moment of pain; comfort for every sorrow, sunshine and joy after rain.”

And just as his favorite song, “My Way,” suggests, Don walked through life with authenticity, resilience, and a heart full of love — always doing things in his own way.

Services will be held on Sunday, March 22nd, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Fay Brothers Funeral Home in West Boylston.
