Donald E. Smith, 76, of 135 Maple St. died Wednesday (Aug.8) at home after an illness.

He leaves his wife of 54 years Dorothy M. (Mooney) Smith, a son, Donald N. Smith of Keene, NH, three daughters, Jeralyn A. Finneran of Framingham, Joy B. Piche of West Boylston, and Amy B. Smith of Holyoke, a sister, Elizabeth Jane Mack of Florida, eight grandchildren, several nephews and nieces. A Brother Kenneth Smith of Worcester died in 1976. He was born in Ilion, NY, son of Ralph and Alice (Burnham) Smith. He graduated from North High School, Worcester. He was a Navy Veteran of WW II

He worked for General Medical Corporation for 42 years retiring in 1997.

He was a member of the Fist Congregational Church of West Boylston, The Harold N. Keith American Legion Post %23204 and its Pitch League. He was also a member of Wachusett Country Clubs Golf League and he was an avid bowler.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Aug. 11,at 11 a.m. in the First Congregational Church 26 Central St. Burial will be at the familys convenience in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Calling Hours are Friday Aug. 10, from 5 to 8p.m. at the funeral home.
