WEST BOYLSTON-Donna-Drew (Chadwick, O’Connell) Price, passed away on August 2, 2026, at the age of 85.

Born on August 28, 1940, in Glasgow, Kentucky, Donna was the daughter of Lucille (Cochrane) Chadwick and John Shore Chadwick. As a young child, her family returned to Massachusetts, where she was raised and would spend the rest of her life.

Donna is survived by her son, Robert E. O’Connell III and his wife Dorinda, of West Boylston, MA; and her daughter, Wendy O’Connell Darling and her husband Jeff, of Colchester, CT; her grandchildren, Jenna (O’Connell) Sharma, and her husband Robert, of West Boylston, MA; Trevor Dion, of Hubbardston, MA, and Tyler Dion of Holden, MA; and her great-grandsons, Robert Jr. and Jackson Sharma.

Donna graduated from Auburn High School in 1958 before earning a associate’s business degree from Quinsigamond Community College in 1994. Donna spent many years as a administrative assistant with the West Boylston Jr/Sr High School before joining Fallon Community Health Plan in 1986 as an administrative assistant. She remained there until her retirement in 2010.

Music was an enduring part of Donna’s life. She was a longtime member of the choral group, Sweet Adelines and sang with the choir at the First Congregational Church of West Boylston while she was an active member. She also had a lifelong love of cats and found great comfort in the companionship of the many pets she cared for over the years.

In her later years, Donna preferred a quiet and private life, keeping in touch with a small circle of longtime friends while enjoying the familiarity and comfort of home. She took great pride in her family and was happy to see her grandchildren grow into adulthood and to witness the early years of her great-grandsons’ lives.

In keeping with Donna’s wishes, there will be no public services. Her family will gather privately for her burial. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to:
