WORCESTER-Dorothy E. Brommels, 93, passed away at home surrounded by friends and family.
Dorothy was born in Worcester a daughter of Charles and Maria A. (Erickson) Brommels and graduated from Worcester Girl's Trade School. She worked for many years as an offset printer for Heffernan Press and Davis Advertising before retiring.
Dorothy was a vibrant and active woman in her younger years. She enjoyed the outdoors, skiing and gardening. She also traveled all over the world and built her own summer camp.
Dorothy leaves many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Carl Soder, Walter Brommels and Carl Harold Brommels and four sisters, Aina Dee, Edith Soder, Hazel Shaw and Helen Brommels.
The family would like to give special thanks to Laura's Guardian Angels and Beacon Hospice for their care of Dorothy which went above and beyond.
Visiting hours for Dorothy will be held on Tuesday, August 9th from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at LINDQUIST LUNDIN Funeral Home, 36 Butler St. Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 10th at 10:00 am at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 200 Greenwood St. Burial will follow in All Faiths Cemetery. Memorial donations in Dorothy's name may be made to the Memorial Fund at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 200 Greenwood St., Worcester, MA 01607
