Dorothy A. Carr

WORCESTER/DELRAY BEACH, FL- Dorothy A. (Leahy) Carr, 86, passed away Saturday, March 26 at her home in Delray Beach.
Her husband of 63 years, William G. Carr, Jr. died in 2014. She leaves a son, Rev. David W. Carr, President of Cardinal Newman High School, West Palm Beach, FL; three daughters, Mary Ellen Berg and her husband Lawrence of North Grafton, Noreen Giammalvo and her husband Steven of Oviedo, FL and Julie Carr of Delray Beach FL; three grandchildren, Daniel and Jeffrey Giammalvo and Andrew Giammalvo and his wife, Amanda; a brother, Vincent P. and his wife, Mary A. Leahy of Auburn; several nephews; two brothers, Joseph A.B. Leahy and John F. Leahy and three sisters, Elizabeth A. DiBenedetto, Mary T. Leahy and Rita known as Sr. Mary Elizabeth Leahy S.P. predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Patrick and Nora (O'Leary) Leahy and graduated from Commerce High School.

Dorothy was the owner and operator of the former A-1 Business Phone Service in Worcester. She was a wonderful caring Mother, Grandmother and a beautiful Sister.

The Funeral will be held Friday, April 1 from CALLAHAN~FAY~CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 11AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main St. Burial will follow in Saint John's Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Thursday, March 31 from 5 to 7PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the, Dorothy A.
