Dorothy A. Laukaitis

JUPITER,FL-Dorothy “Dot” A. Laukaitis, 87, Jupiter Florida died peacefully on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 in hospice care surrounded by her family. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of John J Merrill and Anne (Koleshis) Merrill.

Dorothy is predeceased by her husband, Edward Laukaitis, and her daughter, Patricia (Laukaitis) Williams. She is also predeceased by Edward‘s seven brothers and sisters, and their spouses. Dorothy was originally from Vernon Hill and Millbury Street in Worcester and was an alumni of Ascension High School. She moved out to the woods surrounding the Quabbin Reservoir in New Salem, MA in 1992. She lived in Jupiter, Florida since 2018, where she was close to her niece, Lisa and great niece Carmen Ritze.

Dorothy worked for many years as a medical clerk at St. Vincent’s hospital. Dorothy was an animal lover, including her raccoon, Reggie, and had an uncountable number of dogs in her life. She was an avid reader, an expert at trivia and especially loved traveling with her daughter, Patty.

Graveside Services at Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester will be announced in the coming week.
