Dorothy (Rebidue) McCormack, 90, of 5 Holt Street, W. Boylston, died Thursday, August 4, in the Sterling Healthcare Center.

Born in Worcester, MA, Dorothy was the daughter of Joseph and Melvina Rebidue. She spent her childhood at the family farm at Johnson Corner, Lyndeborough, NH and attended Wilton High School. She and her late husband Donald were married for sixty-three years.

Her family cherishes her paintings of scenes familiar to the McCormack family and wood carvings of birds and Christmas ornaments. She was a good gardener and cook and enjoyed card and board games. Her grandkids remember playing thousands of games of Yahtzee with her. Dorothy and her husband Donald raised their eight children on Johnson Street in Milford, NH. While in Milford, she was employed by OK Tool and Charles Zahn Importer. She was a life long member of the Harley-Sanford Auxiliary. She moved to W. Boylston in 1966, where the McCormacks owned and operated the Pine Hill Motel. For 25 summers, she and Don entertained the family and friends with fishing, clamming, games, and laughter at their home near Digby, Nova Scotia.

She is survived by two sons, Donald A. of Bradenton, FL, Daniel T. of New Boston, NH, and six daughters, Doris Hubley of Ellenton, FL, Donna Leavitt of Jaffrey, NH, Janet VanValkenburg of Milford, NH, Judy Pearcy of W. Boylston, MA, Sharon Stein of Uncasville, CT, Susan Babine of Goffstown, NH, and a step-daughter Polly Dumaine of New Ipswich, NH. Dorothy is remembered by 32 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 11 at 10 AM In Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St., West Boylston, MA. Burial, at the Johnson Corner Cemetery, Lyndeborough, NH, will be Saturday, August 13 at 11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to Beacon Hospice, 160 Speen Street, Suite 202, Framingham, MA 01701. FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 W. Boylston St., is directing arrangements.
