AUBURN-Dorothy M. (Rogers) Mohan, 96, formerly of Stoneville Heights Road, died Thursday, February 25, 2016. Dorothy was born on February 27, 1919 and would have celebrated her 97th birthday in two days.


She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, William J. Mohan in 1996 and their son, William J. Mohan, Jr. in 2012. Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Nancy L. Mercier and her husband Robert of Oxford and Kathleen M. Hair and her husband Stephen of Auburn; a daughter-in-law, Merrilyn L. Mohan of Ankeny, Iowa; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and four nieces. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Walter J. and Francis E. Rogers and a sister-in-law, Cecelia Rogers.


She was born in Worcester, daughter of John J. and Mary A. (Cox) Rogers and graduated from Commerce High School. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church. Dorothy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She cherished every moment spent with her family, especially her beautiful grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, ceramics, knitting and reading mystery novels.


Dorothy's Funeral will be held on Monday, February 29 from CALLAHAN-FAY-CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester with a Mass at 10:00 am at St. Joseph's Church, 189 Oxford Street, Auburn. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday, February 28 from 3:00 until 5:00 pm at the funeral home.
