WORCESTER- Dorothy, “Dot”, or “Dottie Mae” (Krubbfeldt) Westling, 102, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2023 at the Odd Fellows Home.
She was born on June 12, 1920 the daughter of Ida (Freedman) and Hugo Krubbfeldt. She was raised in Worcester and attended local schools. Dorothy was employed for many years with the former Sprague Electric. Dot was an avid member of The Quinsigamond United Methodist Church, where she was involved with many of its activities. She enjoyed trips to Cape Cod with friends, “working on her puzzles” , and spending time with her grandchildren.
Dorothy, lovingly known as “Nana” is survived by her 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Hugo E. Krubbfeldt in 1980, her son, Charles K. Westling in 2007 and her daughter Susan D. Breeds in 2017.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to all the staff at The Odd Fellows Home and New England Hospice Care.
Family and friends will celebrate her life with a memorial service at 11am on Friday, March 31st at the Quinsigamond United Methodist Church, 9 Stebbins St., Worcester. Arrangements are in the care of the Lindquist-Lundin Life Celebration Home, 36 Butler St., Worcester.
