Dorothy J. Wheeler, 71, of Worcester passed away Sunday, October 13th in UMASS Medical Center. 

She leaves 3 children, Chanel Wheeler of Worcester, Otis Wheeler of Worcester, and Quanteza Wheeler of SC; Nephew, Carlos Wheeler(whom she raised as a son); 5 Siblings, Willie Wheeler, Eugene Wheeler, Thelma Wheeler, Clancy Pittman, and Annie Atupem ; Her best friend, Iris Carter; 13 grandchildren, Janeva Wheeler, Alexis Wheeler, Alliyah Wheeler, Tesia Wheeler, Shanice Wheeler, Otis Wheeler, Jr., Levon Wheeler, Octavius Wheeler, Sanaiya Wheeler, Janaysia Wheeler, Zuri Wheeler, Justice Wheeler, and Jurnee Wheeler; 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by 2 sons, Anthony Wheeler and Timothy Wheeler; 3 brothers, Andrew Wheeler, Columbus Wheeler, and John (Mick) Wheeler; and her longtime companion Kevin Wells.

Dorothy was born in Sunflower County, Mississippi, daughter of Edward and Maude Elsie (Peacock) Wheeler (Predeceased). She was a certified nurse’s assistant for several years, before retiring. She enjoyed spending time with friends and she loved her family dearly. 

Visiting Hour will be held Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 10am to 11am with Funeral Service at 11am Belmont A.M.E. Zion Church, 55 Illinois Street. A Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery.
