Dorothy R. Wyne

WORCESTER-Dorothy R. (Wood) Wyne, formerly of South Worcester, died Tuesday, January 5.
Her husband, William Wyne died in 1981. She leaves a son, Donald Wyne of Worcester; five sisters, Katherine Sullivan, Mary Fox, Frances Marlborough and Madeleine Wood all of Worcester and Jean Clark of Springfield; two grandchildren, Donald and Dawn Marie; a sister in law, Marie Wood of Yarmouth and nieces and nephews. A brother, Robert J. Wood predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Robert J. and Katherine (Donahue) Wood and graduated from St. Peter's High School Class of 53'.
Dorothy was a bookkeeper at General Automotive and the former Melville Shoe Company for many years, before retiring. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and was active in Pack 41 Cub Scouts at the parish in the 60's and 70's. She enjoyed puzzles and crosswords and in her early years loved to roller skate.
The funeral will be held Friday, January 8, from Lindquist Lundin Funeral Home, 36 Butler St. with a Mass at 10 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 600 Cambridge St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
