Edeltraut C. Abdella

Edeltraut C. "Dee" (Schlemminger) Abdella, 66, of Worcester passed away Thursday, Sept. 30 in Mass. General Hospital after a long hard fought battle with chronic ailments.
She leaves behind her loving devoted husband of 39 years, Richard P. Abdella; her cherished son, Richard P. Abdella, Jr. of Worcester; three beautiful granddaughters, Danielle, Nicole and Rebeccalyn; a great grandson, Stephen; two sisters, Renata Webber and her husband Henry of Worcester and Agnes Kull of Worcester . She will also be missed by the entire Abdella family and countless friends. A daughter, Sandra Abdella predeceased her. She was born in Schrotterburg, Germany daughter of Otto and Herta (Kirstein) Schlemminger and emigrated to Mt. Vernon, NY in 1952 and moved to Worcester in 1953. She graduated from Commerce High School and graduated summa cum laude from Worcester State College.
Dee, regardless of her health condition always had the brightest smile and the quickest laugh in the room. She cherished her granddaughters and great-grandson and they were the absolute joy of her life.
