Auburn- Edgardo Rodriguez Jr., 41, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 5th at UMass Medical Center after a brief illness.
He was born in Worcester on December 26, 1975 a son of Edgardo Rodriguez and the late Cynthia (Ortiz) Petry. He attended local schools and for many years worked at UNO's Pizzeria as a chef.
Eddie was a man with a big heart who had many close friends. He had a love for life and his favorite meal of the day was breakfast. Above all his greatest joy was time spent with his loving family, especially during family gatherings and functions.
He leaves behind his father, Edgardo Rodriguez Sr., of Worcester; three daughters, Lianna Rodriguez, Josalyne Rodriguez and Jada Rodriguez, all of Worcester; his grand daughter, Alyviah Campos; his brother, Jose A. Rodriquez and his partner, Amy Frazier of Worcester; two sisters, Natalie Marotta and her spouse Jody of Dudley; Valerie Rodriguez of Worcester; his maternal grandfather, Gregorio Ortiz of Worcester; his maternal grandmother, Ana Rodriguez of Puerto Rico; many nieces and nephews, extended family members and close friends.
Visiting hours for Edgardo will be held on Friday, November 11th from 2:00 until 4:30pm with a funeral service to be held at 4:30pm at CALLAHAN FAY & CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. There will also be a Celebration of Life for Edgardo at 7:00pm at the White Eagle Club, 116 Green St. Burial will be private.
