Listen to Obituary

Templeton-Edith A. Harvey, lovingly known as Edie, a beloved sister, aunt, and friend to many, passed peacefully into eternal life on January 4, 2026, at the age of 76. She went home to be with her Lord and was joyfully reunited with her mother and father, her stepfather, Henry Dubois and her eldest sister, Kathleen LeBlanc.

Edie was born on August 17, 1949, in Worcester, Massachusetts, to Leslie and Gladys Harvey. Though born with physical disabilities, Edie was gifted with countless abilities—most notably her boundless love, joy, and kindness. She loved everyone she met, and in return, everyone loved her. Truly, to know Edie was to love Edie.

Whether at family gatherings, her group home, workshop, church, or any social event, Edie was a bright, shining presence who brought smiles wherever she went. She loved her family deeply, cherished her faith in Jesus, adored children, and found great joy in music, singing, movies, and—most enthusiastically—Elvis.

Edie is survived by her loving siblings: Karen Renna of Los Angeles; Thomas Harvey of Bradenton, Florida; Debra Valois and her husband Paul of Ocala, Florida; and Mary Ellen Cyganiewicz and her husband Steven, of Leominster, Massachusetts. She was a devoted and special aunt to her many nephews and niece, their spouses, and her cherished great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Edie’s extraordinary caretakers—Shelly, Kim, Heather—and the dedicated staff at her group home and day program. Their compassion, love, and devotion ensured that Edie lived a life filled with dignity, joy, and care. They treated her like the princess she truly was, and the family will be forever grateful.

Edie was a beautiful soul whose love touched countless lives. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Visiting hours will be  on Monday, January 12, from 5-7PM at Callahan Fay Caswell Funeral Home 61 Myrtle St, Worcester, MA. Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, January 13th at 11am. Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery following the prayer service, located at 260 Cambridge St, Worcester, MA
