West Boylston
Edith M. (Killoran) Marrone 78, of West Boylston died Monday (Feb.17) in the Tippett Home, Needham, after an illness.
Her husband of 45 Years, Donald J. Marrone died in 1990. She leaves a son, Donald J. Marrone of West Boylston, four daughters, Donna M. Lamphron of Florida, Diane L. Silva and Patricia A. Marrone both of Shrewsbury and Ann Marie Coffey of Needham, 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Three Brothers, John J. Killoran of Wareham, Joseph P. Killoran and Francis V. Killoran both of Worcester and three sisters, Catherine L. Bogdan of Worcester, Elizabeth G. Gaucher of Beverly, and Dorothy A. Ferraro of Worcester, all predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Patrick J. and Mary A. (Carney) Killoran.
She graduated from Ascension High School and Saint Vincent School of Nursing. She was a Nurse for many years.
Mrs.Marrone and her husband owned and operated Wachusett Country Club in West Boylston for many years before retiring.
She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church and the Catholic Nurses Association.
A funeral will be held Friday (Feb.21) from Fay Brothers Funeral Home 1 West Boylston St. (www.faybrothers.com) with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church 111 Worcester St. Burial will be in the Spring in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Calling Hours are Thursday (Feb.20) from 4 to 8p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association 36 Cameron Ave. Cambridge MA 02140-1102
