WORCESTER-Edward J. Lindberg, 74, passed away Monday, February 26 in St. Vincent Hospital with his loving wife by his side.
He leaves his companion of 21 years and wife of sixteen years, Patricia M. (Mailea) Lindberg; two children, Jeffrey Lindberg of Quincy and Melanie Lindberg of Boston; a step-daughter, Jodi Lloyd of Worcester; two brothers, Robert Lindberg and his wife, Claire of Braintree and James Keough; a sister, Janet Lindberg of Quincy; four grandchildren, Victoria, Christian, David and McCormick; two step-grandchildren, Gabriel and Madison and nieces and nephews. Two children, Scott Lindberg and Kenneth Lindberg and a brother, Kenneth Lindberg predeceased him. He was born in Boston, son of Edward Lindberg and Margaret (Shiel) Keough.
Ed was a dedicated substance abuse counselor, house manager and advocate for 28 years for Catholic Charities working specifically at the Crozier House, he also worked as a counselor for the Salvation Army. Prior to that he owned and operated his own auto garage in Worcester. Ed was happiest with a wrench in his hand and loved old cars. He was a member and Past President of the Falcon Club, where he proudly displayed his 1962’ Ford Falcon.
Visiting Hours will be Tuesday, March 5 from 8:30 to 10:00am in Callahan Fay Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30am in Saint John’s Church, 40 Temple St. Burial will be private.
