Auburn — Edward H. St. Amand, 89, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026, at UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester, MA, after a long illness.

Edward was born in Worcester, the son of the late Joseph and Marion (Nolet) St. Amand, and grew up in a family of thirteen children. He resided in Auburn for 60 years. He was predeceased by his loving and devoted wife of 63 years, Marion F. (Primeau) St. Amand.

He leaves his daughter, Donna Madadian and her husband, Brad; his son, Jeffrey St. Amand; and two granddaughters, Sacha Madadian and Danielle St. Amand. He is now and will always be deeply missed by his family.

He attended Worcester Trade High School, where he developed his carpentry skills. Following graduation, Edward proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1957. After completing his military service, he worked primarily as an Extrusion Operator, including many years at Phalo Corporation in Shrewsbury.

He enjoyed tackling home improvement projects and working outdoors in his yard, where he created a backyard ice rink and installed a basketball hoop for his children and their friends. He also liked going to the movies, dining out with his wife, and following Boston’s professional sports teams, as well as attending sporting events.

Funeral services will be held privately and are in the care of Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester.
