Edward T. Welch

WORCESTER-Edward T. Welch, 85, of Worcester, went home to be with the Lord peacefully on December 28th with his loving wife of 47 years, Jean O. (Berggren) Welch by his side. He leaves three children, Bonnie Freeman and her husband Scott of Worcester, Marilyn Welch of Worcester and Charles Welch and his wife Sally in WI; two sisters, Rita Sheridan and her husband Bill and Ruthie Belsito all of Worcester. He also leaves nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a daughter Anne Marie Welch, a brother, Earl Welch and a sister, Alice Murphy.
He was born in Worcester, the son of George and Isabelle (Yasvickus) Welch and graduated from St. Peter's High School. Edward worked for Nynex and retired after many years. He was a funny guy and was always quick with a joke. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. Edward especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
