Edwin Anthony Kwabla Dika

It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Edwin Anthony Kwabla Dika, who departed this life on June 8, 2025, in Mass General Hospital, MA, at the age of 74. Born on May 1, 1951, in Mepe, in the Volta region of Ghana, Edwin was a beloved husband, father, uncle, grandfather, brother, and friend whose jovial spirit and infectious laughter touched all who knew him.

Edwin was the cherished son of Ebenezer Kodzo Dika and Theresa Bokor. He built a beautiful life alongside his devoted wife, Helen Mawusi Bokor, with whom he shared many years of love and partnership. Together, they raised six wonderful children: Senya Dika, Yayra Dika, Delali Dika, Agbenyo Edison Dika, Mayoe Dika, and Makafui Dika. He was also a proud and loving grandfather to Daniel Osei-Tutu, Roland Azzu, Jesse Dika, Anneliese Dika, William Marquaye, Bethany Dika, and Eleanor Dika, who will forever cherish his memory. Edwin is also survived by his dear sisters, Nora Kofi-Fleyn and Patience Akplaku and a brother, Philip Damonah.

Professionally, Edwin served as a dedicated Administrative Assistant at the American Cancer Society, where his commitment and kindness were evident to his colleagues. Beyond his professional life, Edwin was a man of many passions. He was a talented choir conductor and a gifted song composer, sharing his love for music with many. His generosity was well-known; he had a giving heart and found joy in helping others. Above all, Edwin will be remembered for his vibrant personality, his hearty laugh, and his immense capacity for love and joy.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation will be held on SATURDAY, JULY 26, 2025 from 10AM until 12PM, with a Funeral Service at 12PM, in the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St. Worcester, MA. Burial will be held in Ghana.
