WORCESTER: Eileen K. (Swisher) Fontaine, 68, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, September 20, 2025, after a long illness.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Henry A. Fontaine III; two sons, Timothy Fontaine and his wife, Meaghan, and Thomas Fontaine; three brothers, Charles Swisher and his wife, Sharon, Dennis Swisher and his wife, Lisa, and Robert Swisher; two sisters, Joanne Morin and Lucy Garabedian and her husband, Robert; a sister-in-law, Patricia Swisher; three grandchildren, Maggie, Theo, and Jack; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Mark Swisher.
Eileen was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Charles & Katherine (Lynch) Swisher. She was a graduate of St. Peter’s High School, Class of 1974. She worked for many years at Barbour Corp. She enjoyed trips to the casino and Las Vegas and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. Eileen was also a longtime blood and platelets donor to the American Red Cross. Above all, she was a devoted wife, sister, aunt, mother, and grandmother.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7PM on Friday, September 26, 2025, in the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10AM on Saturday, September 27, 2025, in the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, 38 High St. Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
