Eileen T. Maloney

WORCESTER-Eileen T. (Sheehan) Maloney, 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 26 at UMASS Memorial Healthcare surrounded by her family. Her husband of 34 years, John Maloney predeceased her in 1998. She leaves two sons, John F. Maloney and his wife Teresa of Holden and Thomas J. Maloney of Worcester; two grandchildren, Katherine and Margaret Maloney of Holden; her sister, Sheila V. Noonan of Auburn; nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two sisters, Mary P. Sheehan and Anna M. Sheehan and four brothers, Thomas, John, Jeremiah and Maurice Sheehan. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Jeremiah C. and Mary (Wallace) Sheehan and graduated from St. Peter's High School.
Eileen worked for the Department of Social Services, retiring after eight years and prior to that, she worked at the College of the Holy Cross and Melville Shoe Company. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of the Angels Church. Eileen loved to travel with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed the many bus trips they took together. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and cherished spending time and caring for her beautiful granddaughters.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 1, from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street with a Mass at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street.
