Elaine Mary (Landry) Erickson, 90, passed away peacefully on April 18th, 2026 in Millbury, Massachusetts, at her granddaughter's home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on January 15, 1936, in Ashburnham, Massachusetts and attended the Massachusetts School for the Deaf, where she built a foundation of resilience and determination that carried her through life. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who found immense joy in her family.

Elaine had a lifelong affection for cats and shared her home with many feline companions over the years. Her artistic talents were evident in her meticulous coloring projects, which showcased her creativity and attention to detail. She also enjoyed playing bingo, going on vacations and dining out with her husband—simple yet meaningful moments that enriched their lives together. Elaine was a woman of faith who regularly attended church throughout her life.

Elaine is survived by her only daughter, Gail (Whalen) Butler and her husband, Philip of Maine; a son, Barry Whalen and his wife, Betty Ann of Florida; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought light to her life. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Ronald Erickson, her first husband, George Whalen; two sons, Gary and Steven Whalen; a granddaughter, Rhonda Butler; her parents, Edgar Landry and Melana Morse; a brother and 3 sisters.
